There will always be strong emphasis on being equipped with the Word and living in the Word. All attendees should be encouraged by the event coordinator to bring their own Bibles and note-taking materials. Our desire is to examine what the Bible clearly says and help the person learn and apply it to his/her life. It is our desire that people develop a love relationship with God and the Scriptures and will “let the Word of Christ richly dwell in them.”

Lee Rushing enjoys speaking to people of any age, any size group, and in most any setting. The following are a good example of some of the topics that he teaches. In addition to preaching through these topics, Lee will be glad to visit together and develop messages suitable for a particular theme or event. He has also been involved as a counselor and speaker at several events that involved the tragic deaths of teenagers.

  • God’s Prayer Instruction Manual – Jesus’ Model Prayer
  • Examining the Heart and Eliminating Hindrances
  • Maintaining Your Prayer Life with Thanksgiving and Praise
  • Personal Prayer Evangelism
  • Coordinating Prayer Events for Your City or School

The topic of prayer and a person’s intimate relationship with God is dealt with in a personal and encouraging way with practical ways to implement and maintain a life of communication with God.

Spiritual Warfare

  • Dead to Sin and Alive to God
  • Confession of Sin
  • Renewing the Mind

Moral Purity

  • Overcoming Secret Sins

It is common for some strong emotion and confession of sin to surface, and the need for prayer and counsel is especially necessary here. This topic can be dealt with in a broad sense in mixed groups and very personally with boys and men only.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Person – You are an awesome creation of an awesome God!
  • Pupil– Being a Student of God for a Lifetime
  • Priest – Having an Intimate Relationship with God
  • Provider – Preparing for and Being a Responsible Provider
  • Partner – Being a Godly Husband or Wife
  • Parent– Being a Godly Mom or Dad
  • Principal – Being the Principal for Your Children’s Education and Development
  • Protector – Being the Spiritual Protector for Your Family
  • Priority Manager – Balancing Your Time and Priorities in All Your Roles

Especially suitable for high school and college students, or single adults. There is a logical progression in the order of these roles. An individual is a person, pupil, and priest first, second and third. Then he/she prepares to become a provider for himself/herself and their future family. When a person marries, he becomes a partner. After becoming a partner, they will be fruitful and multiply or adopt and become parents. After they become parents, they are responsible as the principal for the upbringing, training, education, and preparation of their children for their future. Through it all, before God, each other, and the world, the parent is the protector and priority manager of all the family and possessions God entrusts to them.

Leadership

  • Being the Example
  • Sharing a Vision
  • Initiating the Process
  • Partnering with Others
  • Encouraging the Heart

From Jesus, the apostle Paul, Nehemiah, Moses, Barnabas, and others in Scripture, youth and adults will be encouraged and taught biblical principles of leadership for serving and leading others. This can be done in a one-day seminar, series of luncheons, or an evening and event.

Being Free in Christ

  • Dealing with and Destroying Bitterness
  • Winning the Battle of Lust and Addiction
  • Being in Right Relationship with Others
  • Maintaining Your Freedom in Christ

Whether young and old, in or out of church, many are in bondage to something - bitterness, anger, disapointment, addiction, lust, pornography, secret sins - and want desperately to be free. Jesus offers freedom, and we will get in the Scripture to see what to do to walk and live in His peace and victory.
